Oct 11: Rome photos

As a refresher to what we did in Rome, after arranging a bus for transport only Tim & I along with Winnie & Greg had Ron, a private walking guide for the day and we concentrated our time in the Ancient Rome area.

view down Circus Maximus with Palentine Hill on right

Palace ruins on Palentine Hill

before climbing Palentine Hill Ron had filled up his water bottle at a fountain and then poured it on the marble to show us how pretty it is when clean.  Before he wet it, it had hardly no color and we were truly impressed with its beauty.

Ron with overlay book showing us what it would have looked like back when

Unusual religious view of 3 rooftops: The nearest black roof is a Budist temple, the next one back is the dome of a Jewish Temple and the back one is the dome of St Peter's Basilica in Vatican City

Beautiful blue skies today
