Oct 15: Day 13: Sea Day

I know you are probably getting tired of hearing it, but we had another beautiful sunrise and seas smooth as glass all day.

Remarkablysmooth seas

Since I had been to the laundry mat onboard a few days ago I took most of the morning to catch up the photos on here and finally around noon decided to get dressed and go for lunch. We then decided to go to the casino for a while and I had another good run. I had tripled my daily betting allowance last night at the blackjack table, so the past 2 days have been good to me. Finally! We met Steve and Mary Ann for dinner and then we went to the front of the ship to watch as we sailed through the Strait of Gibraltar.  It was partly overcast and hazy but still a nice experience being outside for it. We saw Africa and Spain at the same time through the narrow passage into the Atlantic Ocean. After we were through the strait we went to the buffet for dessert and laughs and were joined by Pam and Ira who were also on the top of the bridge as we sailed by the Rock of Gibraltar. Since it was a no smoking night in the casino we decided to turn in early.

Next stop tomorrow: Lisbon, Portugal.
I have finally caught up on post and photos and apoligize for getting a few days photos out of whack with the dialog :)

  1. Oh my gosh. You did catch up and I really enjoyed looking at all of the pictures. You also helped me decide to go to Montserrat when I get to Barcelona. We couldn't decide but those pictures did it for me. By the way since when did Madonna become black and why would everyone touch her? LOL
I've never been to Florence so you know I enjoyed those pictures. We have a development here in Boynton called Ponte Vecchio like your bridge. I didn't even know there was a brdige by that name.
It seems like you've really branched out with folks on the cruise which is a great thing. How many interpreters are needed to have people understand you and Tim?
    Love to all.
